I Was Strange in the World is about that Lali painter named Nader meets Maryam on the beach and frees her from the hands of a disturbing man. When the secret of Maryam's fiancee, who left his wife with a young child and ran away, Maryam's interest in Nader is aroused. A young relative of Mahmoud named Jamshid plans to reach out to Maryam, but Nader intervenes and a conflict occurs between him and Mahmoud.
