The Big City is about that The mother is worried about her daughter Soraya's association with Hamid, an unemployed young man. The mother convinces Hamid by talking and advising him to stay away from her for Soraya's happiness. After that, Iraj, Hamid's friend, gets in Soraya's way and Soraya pushes him away. Iraj tempts Hamid to break into the company's safe. During the robbery, he cleverly pushes Hamid forward, and when the police officer arrives, he reveals that he reported the robbery to the police in order to reach Soraya. Hamid meets a man in Soraya's apartment after his release from Jalo prison, and thinking that the man is having a relationship with Soraya, he knocks the girl off her feet and then beats up Iraj. Hamid meets the same man again and finds out that he is Mehri's fiancee, and that he is unnecessarily suspicious of him and Soraya. He thinks about the bitter fate of himself and his fiance with a sad expression.
