The One Who Left is about that Rahman has two sons, Seyf-Allah and Hojjat. Hojjat leaves the village and goes to the city; he starts working in a factory. Seyf-Allah always thinks of joining his brother. Rahman, however, continues his moderate life with his old and disabled father in the village.
