The story starts from Ferdowsi's house, where he looks at the ruined bridge of Tos city from the window of his room with a sad face. Elsewhere, Ferdowsi sings scenes from the Shahnameh in front of Sultan Mahmud for the audience. In the end, the end of the life of the Iranian epic poet is shown. In his old age, Ferdowsi lives in isolation and when he looks out of the window, he hears passing children reciting the poems of the Shahnameh. The last scene is the poet's death. His body is carried by two people on the bridge. Only one person walks behind the corpse and she is the poet's daughter.
