This moving documentary short looks at the impoverished existence of a community of Iranian heroin addicts. Whilst the men inject in one room of their dilapidated accommodation, and the women smoke in another, they are visited daily by a group of charity workers who provide them with clean equipment. Most are infected with HIV, including one of the workers who was attacked with a contaminated glass bottle. Elsewhere, the women seek advice and medical assistance from a local sexual health clinic. Simple shots and natural light serve to emphasize the stark circumstances.
