In a departed village called Bayal, the villagers are starving and fighting with poverty and different illnesses. The main reason for their problem is a person called Mousorkheh who is always hungry and swallows everything. The villagers pray all the time to solve the problem. One of the victims is the wife of the alderman who has a severe illness. The alderman and his son Ramezan take her to a hospital in the city for treatment. The woman dies in the hospital and the alderman doesn't let his son knows about that. and returns to the village. In the village, the villagers are stoning Mousorkheh as the reason of their poverty. Ramezan dreams of her mother who takes him with her on a carriage to the sky among the clouds.

در روستای پرت افتاده” بیل“ اهالی گرفتار گرسنگی، فقر و بیماری هستند. عامل قحطی شخصی است به نام مو‌سرخه که دایم گرسنه است و همه چیز را می‌بلعد. اهالی برای رها شدن از این مصیبت به نذر و نیاز می‌پردازند. یکی از بلا‌دیدگان زن کدخداست، که بیماری سختی دارد. کدخدا و پسرش رمضان او را برای مداوا به بیمارستانی در شهر می‌برند. زن در بیمارستان فوت می‌کند و کدخدا، که خبر فوت همسر را از رمضان پنهان نگهداشته به بیل باز می‌گردد. در روستا اهالی، موسرخه را به عنوان مسبب نزول بلا سنگسار می‌کنند. مادر در سفری رؤیایی بر رمضان ظاهر می‌شود و او را با خود سوار بر کالسکه در هاله‌ای از نور به میان ابرها می‌برد
