A man, whom is a university professor in Sociology, witnesses the past, present and future of the revolution. The past occurs a personal tragedy, which leads him to throw away his career and stay at home. He witnesses the rest through a window and realizes how society is.

Before the Islamic revolution, a university professor loses his wife through an accident and people's indifference, and he is paralyzed too. Due to a mental shock after the accident, he stays home and leaves teaching and thinks pessimistically about people. During the days of revolution, he stops his resistance and watch people's sacrifice from the window of his house. After the revolution, he returns to the university with a wheelchair and starts teaching again. His daughter is a student of psychology and is working in a hospital helping people suffering from mental disorders who have attempted suicide.

یک استاد دانشگاه قبل از پیروزی انقلاب اسلامی، در اثر تصادم با اتومبیل و عدم توجه مردم به این سانحه، همسرش را از دست می دهد و خودش نیز فلج میشود. براثر شوک روحی ناشی از این حادثه، خانه نشین می شود. از تدریس خودداری و نسبت به مردم موضعی منفی پیدا میکند. طی روزهای انقلاب در مقابل سر و صدای تظاهرات مردم دست از مقاومت بر می دارد و از پنجره اتاقش شاهد فداکاری های آنان می شود. پس از پیروزی انقلاب مجدداً با صندلی چرخدار به دانشکده برمیگردد و به تدریس می پردازد. دختر این استاد نیز دانشجوی رشته روانشناسی است و در یک بیمارستان به مداوای روحی افرادی میپردازد که اقدام به خودکشی کرده اند...
