The Leaf and the Wind - Barg va Bad - برگ و باد

Returning from a long trip, Zohreh finds out that her mother has passed away. When she wants to know what her mother has been up to in her last days, she finds out that after an argument with her father while being mentally unstable, her mother has drowned herself in the sea. Zohreh gets so depressed and becomes sick. In front of her room's window, there is a tree whose leaves are gradually falling as the wind blows. In the last night, there is only one leaf left on the tree so there won't be a tomorrow, she concludes. Yabamorad, their gardener and an old family friend, visits Zohreh and convinces her that without God's will, no leaf will fall from the tree. When she wakes up on the next morning, she sees that the leaf is still in its place on the tree so she accepts that she will survive.

زهره پس از سفری طولانی وقتی نزد خانواده اش بازمیگردد از فوت مادرش اگاه میشود. زهره میخواهد بداند که مادرش روزهای پایان عمرش را چگونه گذرانده است، درمی یابد که مادرش به لحاظ یک درگیری لفظی باپدرش در حالت نامتعادل روحی ، خودرا در دریا غرق کرده است زهره سخت افسرده و بیمارو بستری میگردددر برابر پنجره اتاقش درختی قرار دارد که براثر وزشبادهای پائیزی برگهایش بهتدریج فرو میریزد. زهره به این باور رسیده است که با سقوط آخرین برگ زندگی اش به پایان خواهد رسید، دکتر نمیتواند در معالجه ی او موثر باشد.برگها به تدریج میریزند . در آخرین شب تنہا برگ باقی مانده است پس دیگر فردائینخواهد بود."یا با مراد "باغبان و دوست قديمي خوانوادگیشان به دیدار زهره می رود و او را متقاعد می کند که: اگر خدانخواهد برگی ازدرخت نخواهد افتاد، زهره روز بعد وقتی از خواببرمیخیزد برگ برجای خود بر شاخه درخت است، زهره میپذیرد که زنده خواهدماند.
