Gorgo saves a drunk American from the sea and takes him back to his home where he lives with his wife. The drunk American, Rep, tries to rape Gorgo's wife after he gets sober and thus is thrown out of the house and beat up. Gorgo is bankrupt now and has to work in a Road Construction company, where Rep also works as one of the main engineers. The story goes on with a series of unfortunate events consisting of death and rebellion and false accusations...

"گرگو" یک آمریکایی مست با نام "رپ "را که در خطر غرق شدن است، نجات داده و او را به خانه اش میبرد . " رپ" بعد از اینکه خود را باز مییابد قصد تجاوز به همسر گرگو - مروارید - را می کند که وسیله او سخت مجروح می شود . گرگو که برای برپا کردن قهوه خانه نخلستانش را فروخته و حالا به کسادی رسیده است ، چاره ای ندارد جز آن که در جمع کارکنان شرکت راهسازی درآید که " رپ" از مهندسین آن است. کارگران علیرغم کوشش سخت و مداومشان، با عنصر وابسته بنام "قبادی "آیندہ مهم و نگران کننده ای منتقل کند. ولی چندی نمیگذرد ظاهرا" در یک حادثه به قتل میرسد. ولی روشنگری های او تاثیرش را بزودی هویدا میسازد و کارگران که قرار است در مراسم استقبال مقامات مملکتی شرکت کنند، کارشان به شورش میکشد و شورش نیز به خون کشیده می شود . "گرگو" چاره ای جز فرار ندارد، فرار می کند . ولی دیری نمیگذرد که جسدش در ساحل پیدا میشود.
