در يك بندرگاه اسرائيل، زني يهودي كه پس از مرگ همسرش، با يك مرد مسيحي ازدواج كرده است، كودك 8-7ساله خود را درپي اقدامات حقوقي و اصرارهاي زياد پدربزرگش براي مدت كوتاهي به وي مي سپارد. پدربزرگ كودك كه يكي از سران جريان فكري صهيونيسم است در جواب نگرانيهاي مادر، وعده مي دهد كه او يك ماه بيشتر اينجا نمي ماند و پس از آن، كودك با اراده خود هركجا كه خواست بماند.
