'Old Songs' is a nostalgic exploration into a traditional form of theater that mixes traditional Iranian songs with comedic sketches. A group of talented singers perform gathered around a piano. This is infused with a montage of still images of joyous entertainers, including Peyman Moaadi. Interspersed with witty exchanges between comic characters, these well-timed sketches do not fail to amuse. The Director, Mohammad Rahmanian, delights and comforts with his old-fashioned presentation harking back to a time when the simple function of theater was to entertain.
