مرد جوان علیرغم نارضایتی همسرش باتفاق دوستی رساندن مقداری از هدایای مردم به جبهه ها را برعهده می گیرد . در جبهه در یک حادثه بشدت زخمی می شود و در حالیکه همه می اندیشند که او شهید شدہ ، وی بهبودی حاصل کرده و از بیمارستان مرخصی می شود و چون درمییابد که توهم شهادت او پیش آمده، بار دیگر به جبهه بازمیگردد، بار دیگر زخم برمی دارد و این بار با همسرش مواجه می شود که در بیمارستانی در پشت جبهه به خدمت اشتغال دارد.
