Based on Shakespeare's 'Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark', this classic tale of betrayal is retold for an Iranian audience. Hamlet is devastated when, after the death of his father, his mother swiftly remarries his uncle. Affirming his horror with the new situation, he is visited by his father's ghost who tells Hamlet that he was murdered by his new father-in-law. Using a play within a play to bring the killer to the forefront, Hamlet's father will not be the only one to meet a tragic end. Director, Reza Gouran, reinterprets this dark tale skillfully weaving his own culture into the story making it relevant to a new audience.
