The strict and traditional Mr. Azizi leads an uneventful family life in an oil town of southern Iran. Then one day, exasperated by her father’s authoritarianism, Setareh announces she is off to Tehran to say farewell to one of her best friends who is leaving Iran for good. Unfortunately, the engagement celebrations of Setareh’s younger sister are taking place simultaneously.Despite her father’s objections, Setareh takes the plane for Tehran. This act of disobedience sets in motion a series of perturbations that upset the calm tranquility of the paterfamilias.

احمد عزیزی (فرهاد اصلانی) که سرپرست بخش تعمیرات و نگهداری پالایشگاه آبادان است برای مراسم خواستگاری دخترش سمیرا آماده می‌شود و دختر دیگرش ستاره (ماهور الوند) در همان روز قصد سفر به تهران برای شرکت در جشن خداحافظی یکی از دوستان هم‌دانشگاهی‌اش را دارد که با مخالفت پدرش روبه‌رو می‌شود و تصمیم می‌گیرد بدون اجازهٔ خانواده صبح با هواپیما به تهران برود و ظهر برگردد ولی در بازگشت، به‌دلیل کنسل‌شدن پرواز، با مشکلاتی روبه‌رو می‌شود و پدرش برای بازگرداندن او عازم تهران می‌شود. ستاره نزد عمه‌اش فرزانه (مریلا زارعی) می‌رود و آن‌جا اتفاقاتی رخ می‌دهد که بحث‌هایی را میان افراد ایجاد می‌کند.

Mr. Azizi is the supervisor of the repairs and maintenance section of Abadan’s refinery and is getting ready for her daughter suitor to ask permission to marry her. Setareh, his other daughter, is planning to travel to Tehran on the same day she said that she needs to attend the goodbye party of a university friend. Her father is suspicious of this trip for some reason and this is the start of the story.
