A woman travels across the desert to visit her imprisoned husband, imploring his guards to let her see him and give him food. The guards reluctantly let her in, but tell her she will not be able to visit her husband. They seem more interested in having some company for themselves, in the lonely context of the barren and expansive landscape. The ambiguous ending leads us to ponder the fate of her captive husband. This film successfully contrasts the open desert with the claustrophobic prison and has a subtly haunting appeal.
