BIRTHDAY PARTY tells the story of a Syrian family who resides in Zeynabiye region. During Roghaye’s Birthday party, the region is attacked by ISIS and a bomb is dropped near their home. After a discussion, they decide to run away from their home and take refuge in a safe place like the Shrine of Holy Zeynab (PBUH). During the process of their escape an incident changes Roshad’s view towards life…

The film tells the story of a Syrian family during the birthday party of their child, Roghayeh. Their party is coincided with the attack of Takfiris to Dameshgh and the shrine of her holiness Zeinab, It causes this Shia family, along with their Sunni neighbors, to leave their home and go to a safe place. Their destination is the shrine of her holiness Zeinab. On their way, they meet two Iranians as well as their families who have come for a pilgrimage. These two use to defend their city Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war. On their way to the shrine, they take shelter in a church and interesting things happen during their journey.
