As industrial factories increasingly replace the demand for handmade textiles, this documentary reflects on the dying art of weaving. A tradition with a 6 thousand year history in Iran, and surrounded by a rich mythology, Reza Erfani Zaboli and Hossein Rasti's film laments the modern decline of weaving fabrics. Beautifully shot images of looms and textiles add emphasise to the loss of artistic creativity brought about by industrial production, while first hand reports from weavers bring an air of sadness and invoke a desire to keep the tradition alive.
