About Passing the Buck
Rajab is the only illiterate man in the village. When he receives a letter through the local teacher Bahador, to whose daughter Rajab is engaged, the contents of the letter strain relations between Rajab and is soon-to-be father-in-law, and the wedding is postponed. Desperate to uncover the true meaning of the letter, Rajab has no choice but to take it to different people in the villagers, both well-wishers and party crashers, who try to help him make sense of it. A comedy of errors about a search for deeper meaning and a game of Chinese whispers.
