Born in Isfahan, Iran in 1953, Rasoul Sadrameli ( رسول صدرعاملی ) studied sociology in France before returning to Iran to produce Ami Ghavidel's "Rain of Blood"(1981) and make his directorial debut with "The Release" (1982). He is known for his melodramas and exploration of social issues. He made "Golhaye Davoodi" in 1985 which was the first Iranian melodrama to be made after Islamic Revolution in 1979. His trilogy ("A Girl in the Sneakers", "I Am Taraneh, I Am 15 years Old" and "Aid ...a, I saw Your Father Last Night") is about young girls' lives in contemporary Iran were well received both by national and international film critics and also by audiences. His movie Every Night of Solitude won an award in the Chicago film festival.

The Night is about that A young sergeant who is about to get married to his favorite girl has to return a runaway criminal to prison. But heavy snowfall has made transportation difficult or even impossible. The young sergeant has no choice but to stay the night at Mashad and deliver the prisoner the morning after . He finds a place to stay with difficulty. During the night, he is poisoned and the guesthouse manager takes him to the hospital. The manager, who is a middle-aged, piteous man, trusts the old criminal to take an old woman to the Imam Reza's shrine. The old woman, whose husband is in the hospital, hopes that her visit would cure her husband. The guard and the manager go to the shrine at the height of their despair to find peace. But the criminal, under the influence of his visit to the shrine, abandons his escape plans and returns to the guard. Raid is about that Mohammad Alavi is the head police officer in Bandar-e Anzali who has lost his wife and two daughters during an accident and is spending his last years in office in despair and sorrow. He keeps imagining his wife at nights doing housework and living with him. One day, the body of a sixty-years-old woman is captured from the sea and two numbers are found in her purse along with a picture. One of the numbers is Alavi's home number and the other one is a Cafe's. After a while, another murder happens, and a young photographer dies in his workshop. In the meantime, the owner of that cafe gives Alavi some information that connects the two deaths. After a series of incidents, Alavi receives a phone call from her dead wife asking him to buy some toys for their daughters. When he arrives his home, he is faced with a feast consisting of all the dead people somehow related to his life, and discovers the truth about the previously happened deaths...
