Born December 06, 1957

Born in 1957 in Amol, Mohammad Ali Sajjadi ( محمدعلی سجادی ) began painting and calligraphy in the second grade of elementary school. Mohammad Ali Sajjadi made his first short film, WHO IS THE CLEVEREST OF ALL? when he was 13. Then he made some 8mm. films in Free Cinema Workshop. His first amateur 16mm. short film, THE RAIL, was made in 1979. Two years later, he directed his first feature film, THE ROAD, but it took him another three years to en ...ter the professional filmmaking with INVESTIGATION ON A MURDER. An active poet, novelist and director, Mohammad Ali Sajjadi has written all his films except THE STRIFE. In 2005, he received Special Jury Prize at Cairo Film Festival for CRIME. He belongs to the first generation of post-revolutionary Iranian cinema and has already made 20 feature films.
