Born in 1962 in Dezfoul, Mohammad Ali Ahangar ( محمدعلی باشه آهنگر ) is a graduate of film directing from Film and Theatre School. After starting his artistic career as playwright, director and actor, Mohammad Ali Ahangar made a number of documentaries and 16mm short films. His debut feature, The Lost Half, which earned him three prizes in the National Festival for Films of Holy Defence, was expanded and broad casted as 8part TV series in 2008. His the Earth Child not only won in ...terfaith and best spiritual script award in Fajr, but also was awarded in Khane Cinema's annual ceremony. Queen is his last Feature film that was produced in 2012.

The Missing Half is about that "Rahil", who has had no news of his soldier husband, "Ali", for over 6 months, decides to go searching for him. She eventually reaches Abadan after enduring many hardships and difficulties. Upon seeing Ali, he pleas her to go back, and she inevitably does so. She faces Ali's cousin, "Maryam" and her husband "Ebrahim" who work in transferring the wounded. After Maryam hears what has happened to Rahil, she makes her go back to Abadan and defends her against Ali. However, as Abadan is under heavy fire from the enemy, she realizes that she has no choice but to go back. The fighter planes bombard the bus of the wounded, carrying Rahil, during which Maryam is martyred. Meanwhile, Ali is fighting in a new operation, and once crosses ArvandRood, becomes surrounded by the enemy. The last radio conversation between Ali and Rahil leads them to a new recognition of each other. Rahil promises to wait for Ali, even if this expectation becomes eternal.
