Jamshid Mahmoudi (born in 1983) is an Afghan-born Iranian film director and writer. He is Iranian producer Navid Mahmoudi's brother. A Few Cubic Meters of Love (2014) which Jamshid Mahmoudi directed and his brother produced, premiered at Fajr International Film Festival and won Jamshid two Crystal Symorgh awards. The 90-minute romantic drama also competed at Tokyo FILMeX and Chicago International Film Festival in 2014. Before directing his first feature, Mahmoudi had directed several Iranian TV ...films as well as two short films Ageh Yek Rouz Zanha (2006) and Delet Oumad (2007).

Die in the Water is about that A young Afghan couple is trying to leave Afghanistan and to exile to Europe from Afghanistan in a hope to find a better life.
