Selection is about that Fariba lives with her brother Fariborz and her uncle. She has recently lost her mother, and his father has remarried. She believes in equality of rights for men and women and that she can therefore choose her husband herself and propose to him. She has also convinced two of her colleagues, Shohreh and Maryam, to think like her. Her father has made some arrangements for her marriage but she does not pay attention to him.
