Roommate is about that Mahsa, originally from Abadan, is living in Tehran as a student. She must find a place to live in while in Tehran, she decides, on a friend's advice, to live in a house which belongs to an old woman called Fakhri Khanoum. Fakhri Khanoum is supposed to leave Iran and tells Mahsa that she will no longer be able to live in the house after she leaves the country because she intends to rent it to a couple after her departure. Mahsa who has no other place than Fakhri Kahnoum's house decides to convince Fakhri Khanoum to allow her to continue living in the house. so, she asks Jamshid, a medial student and a waiter to help her and play the role of her futur husband. The problem starts when Fakhri Khanoum runs into problems and she must stay a more longer in Tehran. After a while, Jamshid and Mahsa start having feelings for each other. The problem is confounded when Mahsa's father pays a visit to her and is shocked to see Jamshid with his unmarried daughter. Finally, everything is settled down when Mahsa and Jamshid marry together and live happily ever after.
