Behind the Wheel of Life is about that 'Behind the Wheel of Life' is a short film about Nasri, a divorced mother who drives ...a taxi to support herself and her son. Revealing her frustrations and loves in equal measure, Sahar Salahshoor's documentary follows Nasri through a day in her life, exploring the importance of religious faith, friendship and, of course, her beloved car in sustaining her independence. While looking back at a career spanning seven decades, the film follows Maroosya through her daily life as she prepares, after a three year absence from the stage, for her latest theatre performance. As Mikhak engages with her personally throughout high and low moments, the result is a raw and dignified insight into the latter years of a revered talent.
