Born in Isfahan in 1961, Abolghasem Talebi is a graduate of law. He is the manager and editor of the weekly magazine "Cinema & Video". In early 1990’s he made his first 16 mm short film titled THE GUILTY AND BY WHY SO CARELESS?. In 1995, he wrote and directed his first feature, THE DEVASTATOR. In 1998, he published THE SWALLOWS' RETURN, and subsequently made it into a TV series. In 2001, he wrote and directed MR. PRESIDENT, but it was his THE AFGHAN BRIDE - on which he was also the co
...stume and set designer – that led him to international recognition. In 2012, he made one of the most controversial Iranian productions, THE GOLDEN COLLARS, focusing on Presidential Election 2009 and its aftermath, with the tagline, “The Most Political Film in the History of Iranian Cinema.”

The Childish War is about that In the aftermath of the US military invasion to Iraq, Ali, who has lost his family, becomes homeless. He makes his best in order to find his one-year-old brother. Like other Iraqi refugees, Ali is searching everywhere for a safe place to stay. Among the refugees, there is Abdul Rahman's family and his wife, Maede. Since their marriage, it has been Maede's dream to have a child but she has never been able to accomplish it. After suffering a lot, eventually Ali reaches to the camp that the Islamic Republic of Iran's Red Crescent has set up on Iraqi territory. It is in this camp that Ali finds his lost brother before Maede. This is an introduction to his new life. In the shade of all-round invasion which slams everywhere, burns and sacrifices, Ali is growing up in such difficult inhuman situation.
