The Green Ashes is about that Hadi travels to eastern Europe during World War ll to do some research on his film. His friend, Aziz gives him a package before he leaves. Inside there is a tape, a photo, and half of a ...plate. Aziz's voice on the tape asks him to find the girl in the photo, while telling him of his time spent in Bosnia as a photographer. Hadi starts his research on the frontline, recovering Aziz's tragic story piece by piece. This heart-breaking drama gives us an insight into occupied Europe through the eyes of Aziz and Hadi. As they each tell their story, the terror of the war is brought to life before our eyes.
