To Live is ... about that The film tells the story of the last days of an old man who lives outside the city and beside the railway. He goes to the city park with much difficulty carrying the most obsolete photography accessories and starts to work there. The old man waits for a customer quietly and calmly, but just as every day, month and year of his life, he is in deep thoughts, as if all his life he has been searching for a lost secret, and in every hidden place of his mind he is looking for that so that maybe one day he can find it. One day, after a girl comes to the park, the old man’s behavior changes, as though his wait is over. The Childish War is about that In the aftermath of the US military invasion to Iraq, Ali, who has lost his family, becomes homeless. He makes his best in order to find his one-year-old brother. Like other Iraqi refugees, Ali is searching everywhere for a safe place to stay. Among the refugees, there is Abdul Rahman's family and his wife, Maede. Since their marriage, it has been Maede's dream to have a child but she has never been able to accomplish it. After suffering a lot, eventually Ali reaches to the camp that the Islamic Republic of Iran's Red Crescent has set up on Iraqi territory. It is in this camp that Ali finds his lost brother before Maede. This is an introduction to his new life. In the shade of all-round invasion which slams everywhere, burns and sacrifices, Ali is growing up in such difficult inhuman situation.
