Salem Salavati (born 1975) is an Iranian film director, writer and cinematographer. In 1989, he began his career in cinematography. Salavati has directed up to 11 short films, 3 documentaries and 2 fictions: The Departure Time (2011) and The Last Winter (2012). His films were awarded over 50 foreign and Iranian prizes for direction, script and photography and also as best films. He is also known for recent for My Beautiful Son Will Be the King (2007), East Kurdistan (2008).

Snowy Dreams is about that Sometimes the truth is hard to accept.
