Reza Sobhani is a director known for the short film 'Rahban' (1999), for which he won Best Short Film at the Dresden Film Festival. He also worked on Zeestan (2002), which was nominated for the Grand Prize from Tokyo FILMeX. Reza Sobhani also directed, wrote and produced for Madar (2010), and edited Khak-e Sard (2006).

To Live is about that The fil ...m tells the story of the last days of an old man who lives outside the city and beside the railway. He goes to the city park with much difficulty carrying the most obsolete photography accessories and starts to work there. The old man waits for a customer quietly and calmly, but just as every day, month and year of his life, he is in deep thoughts, as if all his life he has been searching for a lost secret, and in every hidden place of his mind he is looking for that so that maybe one day he can find it. One day, after a girl comes to the park, the old man’s behavior changes, as though his wait is over. Cold Earth is about that Yousef is a qanat digger and lives with his wife, Tahmineh, who is pregnant, and his son, Ebrahim. They have a simple life together and live in a cottage far away from the city of Bam. Yousef goes to the desert every day; Ebrahim rides a bike to his grandfather's shop in the city to take the milk his mother has milked from their cow and get their needs and then goes to school. One day, when Ebrahim has a flat tire, he meets a pickup truck driver named Shirzad, who puts on stunts in the city but is not very successful. Yousef has also seen his failed show once he had taken Tahmineh to doctor. On an early morning, an earthquake happens and ruins the whole city and everything in its vicinity. Their cottage collapses. Yousef gets seriously injured and Tahmineh is left under the debris. Yousef, who has pulled himself out from beneath the debris, can't pull his wife out because of his injuries. Ebrahim goes to bring help. When he comes back with Shirzad, his parents have passed away, but the cries of a baby can be heard, and he should take care of his sister... The Neighbours is about that A couple decide to invite a group of neighbours in their apartment building over for lunch, along with their children. What starts out as a pleasant afternoon, soon turns vicious when an argument between the neighbours erupts as a result of a disagreement. The film slowly builds up tension, as their discussion escalates and it results in one final aggressive confrontation. Toghrol Tower is about that A cantankerous old man is determined to find the Toghrol tower, but no-one he asks seems to be aware of its existence. He enters a cab, and asks the driver to take him there, however the driver also seems clueless as to its whereabouts. The driver leads him to buildings that clearly do not resemble the historical monument, infuriating the old man. However, the driver also becomes set on finding the tower and the next day they set out again, but will they ever be able to find this fabled destination?
