I Am Not Bin Laden is about that An Afghan immigrant Latif Baktash married the daughter of a poor man called Heidar four years ago without registering his marriage officially. Latif and his family are forced to leave Iran in 2004 because they do not posses a permanent citizenship and their residency expires in 2004. Latif is consent to leave Iran but his father-in-law believes that this is a wrong decision because Afghanistan is still at war and peace is not fully present in the country. An officer is in charge of finding Latif because Latif does not have the right to stay in Iran and must be deported. Latif is averse to leaving Iran and his belongings and is so frustrated that he decides, out of despair, to take some students as hostages at a school in the downtown of Tehran. Now his situation is indeed a predicament that sends everyone into action. A predicament for a deportee and a hostage taker.
