Scent of Paradise is about that Hamid who has just recently married is financially unable to run his family and has failed to keep his promise to his father-in-law to buy an apartment to have better living conditions. His father-in-law files charges against him and takes Hamid to court. Hamid is sent to prison for not fulfilling his financial commitments to his wife. After releasing from prison, Hamid moves to North of Iran and starts a new life in a house inherited to him. It seems that he will have peace and quiet now but he undergoes severe experiences and the course of his life changes dramatically.
