Silence of the Sea is about that Siavash Irani who has been living in Sweden for a long time suddenly loses everything he has and decides to go back to Iran. Destiny drives him to Qeshm; an island in south of Iran. You need a license to go from there to the rest of Iran. Siavash misses his family. He talks to his wife on his phone all the time. He finally finds his old pal, Hossein, in Khoram-Abad and that helps him forget the homesickness. Hossein tells Siavash not to exit the island because of the troubles he might get into but Siavash doesn't listen to him and keeps looking for a way out.
