...ldren is about that "World's Children" is Hamed Saadet's honest and refreshing exploration of the lives of young Afghan refugees in Iran. The film captures the difficult nature of the children's experience with a vivid poignancy, as they are largely rejected by Iranian society and deprived of essential documentation such as ID cards. Yet, focusing on a school set up to teach Afghan children, it also shows the joy and refuge they can find in education when they are provided with it. Grey Blood Vessels is about that This moving documentary short looks at the impoverished existence of a community of Iranian heroin addicts. Whilst the men inject in one room of their dilapidated accommodation, and the women smoke in another, they are visited daily by a group of charity workers who provide them with clean equipment. Most are infected with HIV, including one of the workers who was attacked with a contaminated glass bottle. Elsewhere, the women seek advice and medical assistance from a local sexual health clinic.
