Ezzatolah Entezami ( عزت‌الله انتظامی ) born in 1924, is a multi-award-winning Iranian actor. He started his career in 1941. In 1958, he completed his studies in acting at Hanover's theatre and cinema school in Germany. He has been acting in movies since 1969. His debut performance in Darius Mehrjui's admired classic film, 'The Cow / Gaav' (1969), received the Golden Hugo in Chicago International Film Festival in 1971. Entezami is one of the most important actors in Iran, he had ...the opportunity to work with internationally acclaimed directors such as Darius Mehjuri, Rakshan Bani-Etemad, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Behrouz Afkhami and Ali Hatami. Ezzatolah Entezami has been awarded the Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor twice at the Fajr International Film Festival, for his role in 'Grand Cinema' (1989) and 'Rooz-e Fereshteh / The Day of Angel' (1993). His work and accomplishments were recognised in October 2006 at the Iran cultural centre in Paris. Ezzatolah Entezami also played in 'Haji Washington' (1982), Kamalolmolk (1984), The Tenants (1986), Dar Masir Tonbad (1989), Hamoun (1990), The Fateful Day (1995), The Blue-Veiled (1995) and Lady (1999). After a long and successful career, he retired in 2007 at the age of 83.
