Halabja's Bride is about that Kali is the daughter of a Kurd warrior. On the night of her wedding, she expects her father, who’s been away from his family and home for ... many years, to join them for the ceremony. However, the father gets killed along the way. Kali's husband is also held captive by the Ba'athists because of a contention. She searches every nook and cranny to find Muhammad. In the midst of all these, the news of her father’s death reaches her and she finds out that the regime has buried his father’s body in Sulaymaniyah. Kali departs for Sulaymaniyah. When returning from there, she finds out that the people of Halabja have revolted and have taken back the city from the forces of the regime.
