Seyyed Reza Mirkarimi ( رضا میرکریمی ) was born in 1967 in Tehran. He is an award-winning Iranian film writer and director. His feature film Under the Moonlight picked up several international awards including Best director at the Tokyo International Film Festival and his film As Simple As That won Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay at the Fajr Film Festival (Iran).
