Varuzh Karim-Masihi ( واروژ کریم مسیحی ) was born in 1952 in Arak and is an Iranian-Armenian film director, film editor and screenplay writer. He directed his first short film, Cuckoo (1975), for the Centre for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults. Varuzh Karim-Masihi's feature-film debut The Last Act (1991) received sixteen nominations and nine prizes, including those for best director and best film, at the International Fajr Festival in Tehran.
